Cast on 44 (54, 58, 78)sts evenly onto 3 needles (for some it is easier to cast all sts on one needle then spread sts evenly after)

Repeat rows 2 - 5 once
turn work inside out so wrong side is facing, loop yarn around last st on the right needle then knit 22 rounds.
